Αφορμή έψαχνε πάλι στην Τουρκία να τραβήξουν το σχοινί, προκειμένου να προκαλέσουν εντυπώσεις. Αυτή τη φορά το έναυσμα ήταν η αντίδραση της Δέσποινας Βανδή να μην τραγουδήσει σε συναυλία με φόντο τον Ατατούρκ στην Σμύρνη, με την Ελληνίδα τραγουδίστρια να πρωταγωνιστεί στο προκλητικό πρωτοσέλιδο της τουρκικής εφημερίδας Soczu, όπου στον βασικό τίτλο του κεντρικού θέματος γράφει: «Ελλάδα, μη δοκιμάζεις την υπομονή μας». Η εφημερίδα αναφέρεται σε τρεις ελληνικές προκλήσεις μεταξύ των οποίων και αυτό που έκανε η τραγουδίστρια στο Τσεσμέ της Σμύρνης.
